BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018 - <br />RESOLUTION RE-ESTABLISHING A KITTITAS COUNTY FAIR FAMILY <br />ASSISTANCE PROGRAM AND SETTING PRICING AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />FRIENDS OF THE KITTITAS COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS FOUNDATION <br />WHEREAS the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners <br />is responsible for oversight of the operation of the <br />Kittitas County Fair; and <br />WHEREAS the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners <br />recognizes that there are financially disadvantaged <br />children and families living in Kittitas County whom are <br />unable to attend the Kittitas County Fair based upon their <br />financial circumstances; and <br />WHEREAS the Friends of the Kittitas County Fairgrounds <br />Foundation strives to improve the quality of the Kittitas <br />County Fair Grounds and its use for the greatest amount of <br />citizens in Kittitas County; <br />WHEREAS the Department of Social and Health Services and <br />Elmview Services, are service providers assisting low <br />income families within Kittitas County and have the ability <br />to identify and designate individuals who are receiving <br />services provided to low income individuals; and <br />WHEREAS the Department of Social and Health Services and <br />Elmview Services have spoken with representatives of the <br />Friends of the Kittitas County Fairgrounds Foundation, have <br />agreed with the philosophy and proposed structure of a <br />program to provide admittance vouchers for low income <br />individuals, with a focus upon families, to attend the <br />Kittitas County Fair; and <br />1 <br />RESOLUTION CONCERNING <br />KITITAS County Fair <br />Family Assistance Program <br />
