WHEREAS the Friends of the Kittitas County Fairgrounds <br />Foundation desires to utilize certain sums of funding <br />raised to provide the opportunity for low income families <br />and individuals to attend the Kittitas County Fair, and is <br />willing to commit to a funding level to cover the costs of <br />reduced tickets prices for such individuals; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: <br />1) There shall be re-established the Kittitas County <br />Fair Family Assistance Program; <br />2) The purpose of this program shall be to offer free <br />admission to the Kittitas County Fair to qualifying <br />individuals and families participating in any <br />Department of Social and Health Services and Elmview <br />programs offered in Kittitas County: such as Work <br />First; Senior Assistance; and Foster Care; <br />3) There shall be established a low income ticket price <br />that shall be set at $2.00 per ticket, which ticket <br />shall only be available to those qualifying and <br />identified through the Kittitas County Fair Family <br />Assistance Program; <br />4) That DSHS and Elmview will provide the screening of <br />those individuals enrolled in the above programs on <br />a first come first serve basis, but with a desire to <br />provide access to families as a priority; <br />5) That DSHS and Elmview shall identify those <br />individuals who are eligible, provide them with <br />notice of the program and their eligibility; and <br />upon confirmation of their desire to attend the <br />Kittitas County Fair, shall provide to such <br />individuals a voucher redeemable for a one day <br />ticket to the Kittitas County Fair; <br />2 <br />RESOLUTION CONCERNING <br />KITITAS County Fair <br />Family Assistance Program <br />
