KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: May 19, 2026 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Amend the <br />Conference of Governments Bylaws <br />BACKGROUND: The Conference of Governments (COG) adopted <br />committee bylaws in August of 1995 with amendments <br />in the following years: October 1995; 2001 and 2016. <br />INTERACTION: <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />HANDLING: <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />COG met at several regularly scheduled meetings to <br />discuss updates to the bylaws due to the outdated nature <br />of the wording, update the required quorum, simplify the <br />voting section and clarify the amendments section. <br />At the May 21, 2025, COG meeting, the Bylaw <br />amendments were approved and are being presented to <br />the Board of County Commissioners for consideration. <br />Public Works, Conference of Governments <br />Approve and Sign the Resolution to Amend the <br />Conference of Governments Bylaws <br />Return one (1) original to Public Works <br />Resolution; Amended Bylaws; Redline Bylaws <br />Josh Fredrickson, Director <br />
