<br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: March 17, 2026 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve the Resolution to Authorize the <br />Chairman’s Signature on a Letter Amending an Interlocal <br />Agreement between the Kittitas County Flood Control <br />Zone District and the Kittitas County Conservation District. <br />___________________________________________________________________________________ <br />BACKGROUND: The Kittitas County Flood Control Zone District and the <br />Kittitas County Conservation District entered into an <br />Interlocal Agreement to finalize the design of the Whiskey <br />Creek at Ellensburg Water Company Siphon Project and <br />provide construction support services. Before the design <br />can be finalized, the Flood Control Zone District must <br />secure the necessary land interests and is currently working <br />through this process. To allow sufficient time to complete <br />this work, the parties propose extending the agreement by <br />one year. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Move to Approve the Resolution to Authorize the <br />Chairman’s Signature on a Letter Amending an Interlocal <br />Agreement between the Kittitas County Flood Control <br />Zone District and the Kittitas County Conservation District. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Return two (2) original to Public Works. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Arden Thomas, Water Resource Program Manager.
