KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: October 21, 2025 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing the Selection <br />of Natural Waters and Watershed Science and Engineering <br />for Professional Hydrology and Hydraulic Modeling <br />Services supporting Public Works for up to a Three -Year <br />Period and Authorize the Public Works Director to <br />Negotiate and Sign the Professional Services Agreement. <br />BACKGROUND: On July 1, 2025, Public Works received approval to <br />advertise a request for Statement of Qualifications to solicit <br />for professional services (consistent with state law and <br />County policy). Submittals were due July 31, 2025, for <br />Public Works staff review and scoring. After reviewing <br />responder information, Public Works recommends the <br />selection of Natural Waters and Watershed Science and <br />Engineering for said services. The Professional Services <br />Agreement will be in place for a two-year base period with <br />a third potential year if mutually agreed upon. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution Authorizing the Selection of <br />Natural Waters and Watershed Science and Engineering for <br />Professional Hydrology and Hydraulic Modeling Services <br />supporting Public Works for up to a Three -Year Period and <br />Authorize the Public Works Director to Negotiate and Sign <br />the Professional Services Agreement. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br />LEAD STAFF: Josh Fredrickson, Public Works Director <br />
