BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025 - <br />AUTHORIZING THE SELECTION OF NATURAL WATERS AND WATERSHED SCIENCE <br />AND ENGINEERING AS PUBLIC WORKS ON -CALL TASK ORDER CONSULTANTS FOR <br />UP TO A THREE-YEAR PERIOD OF SERVICE AND AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS <br />DIRECTOR TO NEGOTIATE AND SIGN SAID PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County Public Works advertised a Request for Statement of Qualifications for <br />engineering and professional services consistent with state law and county code in July of <br />2025; and <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County Public Works docketed a request to solicit for engineering and <br />professional services on the Board of County Commission general business agenda on <br />July 1st, 2025; and <br />WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners directed Kittitas County Public Works proceed <br />with solicitation efforts and said process concluded with submittals being received on <br />July 31, 2025; and <br />WHEREAS: Consistent with solicitation advertising an internal review team of Kittitas County Public <br />Works staff reviewed and scored all hydrology and hydraulic modeling and related <br />professional engineering services submittals; and <br />WHEREAS: The consensus of the reviewers selects Natural Waters and Watershed Science and <br />Engineering for professional hydrology and hydraulic modeling services agreement for <br />up to a three-year period (two-year base with possible third year extension if mutually <br />agreed upon); <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best interest <br />of the public, does hereby select Natural Waters and Watershed Science and Engineering for professional <br />hydrology and hydraulic modeling services and authorizes the Public Works Director to negotiate and <br />sign said professional services agreement. <br />DATED this 21 st day of October 2025, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br />Cory Wright, Vice -Chairman <br />Brett Wachsmith, Commissioner <br />
