Page 1 of 2 <br />Auditor “Study Session Staff Report”, 7/24/2025 <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />STAFF REPORT FOR <br />STUDY SESSION <br /> <br />Auditor <br /> <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: 7/24/2025 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Consideration of Additional Funding, Boys & Girls Club of the Columbia <br />Basin <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Discussion/Decision <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Ann Leichleiter (Boys and Girls Club - Program Director) <br />Zack DeHaven (Auditor) <br /> <br />BRIEFING SUMMARY: <br />• Boys & Girls Club (“B&G”) seeks additional funding of $40,000 to address <br />permit costs within Kittitas County for the proposed “Community Hub” in Cle <br />Elum. <br />• None of the previous funding from the County has gone toward this project. <br />• Ann Leichleiter will be present to field BOCC questions. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br /> <br />• The Boys & Girls Club of the Columbia Basin was initially awarded the <br />Commerce Planning Grant for $125,004 to look at the building on the Cle <br />Elum/Roslyn School District property. <br />• The B & G Club went back to Commerce and asked for additional funding in <br />May 2025. We were awarded an additional $74,996. Although, we received <br />$200,000 for this grant, the actual cost with architectural drawings and <br />permits is approximately $350k <br />• The grant funding has been spent on strategic plan, drawings, asbestos <br />testing…. <br />• Every step is proceeded with a permit fee for the building, one can not be <br />completed without the other. <br /> <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACTS:
