Call to order: 9:00am <br /> <br />2. Citizen Comments (1 min. time limit): None <br /> <br />3. Union Negotiations- Closed Session <br />CLOSED SESSION – RCW 42.30.140(4)(B) - The OPMA does not apply to that portion of a <br />meeting during which the governing body is planning or adopting the strategy or position <br />to be taken by the governing body during the course of any collective bargaining <br />negotiations, or grievance or mediation proceedings, or reviewing the proposals made in <br />the negotiations or proceedings while in progress. <br /> <br />The Board entered closed session to discuss collective bargaining. The Board exited <br />closed session with no action taken. <br />4. 2025 Preliminary Budget Meeting with the Sheriff <br />Mr. Carlson discussed BOCC considerations. The County has a $10MM problem with a 3-year <br />runway. <br /> <br />Mr. Carlson gave an overview of the Sheriffs Revenue and Expenses. <br /> <br />Jill Beedle from the Sheriff’s office stated the Fire Marshal does not need a new truck but still <br />requires a new transmission. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright asked for more information on the “Vehicle Maintenance Fund” and how <br />the figure of $1MM was derived. Sheriff, Clay Myers explained the Vehicle Maintenance fund is <br />a vehicle fund for new vehicles and maintenance. This bucket of money or seed money would
