KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA SESSION DATE: July 2, 2024 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution for J-U-B Engineering <br />to perform engineering construction support services for <br />the Bowers Field East Taxilane Pavement Rehabilitation <br />and Apron Reconfiguration project and authorize the <br />Director of Public Works to execute an agreement for <br />the same. <br />BACKGROUND: The Board approved a Resolution to award J-U-B <br />Engineers the contract to be the Bowers Field consultant <br />on January 3, 2023. J-U-B Engineers subsequently <br />developed the Bowers Field East Taxilane Pavement <br />Rehabilitation and Apron Reconfiguration project for <br />construction. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Bids were received on March 5, 2024 for construction <br />and awarded May 7, 2024. Engineering construction <br />support is required to comply with the Federal Aviation <br />Administration requirements and regulations. The <br />professional services agreement allows for engineering <br />construction support. <br />J-U-B has submitted a task order in the amount of <br />$99,610.00. Concurrence has been made by the FAA for <br />the task fee for this project. <br />Funding for pavement rehabilitation work for Bowers <br />Field project FAA/AIP No. 3-53-0026-023-2024 was <br />awarded. Funding requires a 10% match. Match funds <br />are available in the Airport Fund. <br />Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve resolution for J-U-B Engineering to perform <br />construction support services for the Bowers Field East <br />Taxilane Pavement Rehabilitation and Apron <br />Reconfiguration project and authorize the Director of <br />Public Works to execute an agreement for the same. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution; Scope of Work <br />LEAD STAFF: Josh Fredrickson, Public Works Director <br />
