KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />2024 AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: February 6, 2024 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Authorize the Chair's Signature on the First <br />Amendment to the 2023 Memorandum of Agreement with <br />Mid -Columbia Fisheries <br />BACKGROUND: On April 4"', 2023, Kittitas County and Mid -Columbia <br />Fisheries entered into a Memorandum of Agreement <br />(MOA). Each parry has obtained grant funding to <br />implement the Yakima River Corridor Plan. Projects <br />implemented by Kittitas County and Mid -Columbia <br />Fisheries are highly interrelated. The MOA documents our <br />respective roles, project contributions, and specifies <br />funding for cooperative implementation actions for the <br />Yakima River Corridor Plan. The amendment adds <br />additional grant funds secured by each party. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution authorizing the Chair's signature <br />on the First Amendment to the 2023 Memorandum of <br />Agreement with Mid -Columbia Fisheries. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution; First Amendment to the 2023 Memorandum of <br />Agreement with Mid -Columbia Fisheries. <br />LEAD STAFF: Arden Thomas, Water Resource Manager. <br />
