BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COTINTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2023 - C + I <br />RATIFYING THE COUNTY ENGINEER SIGNATURE ON KPFF TASK NUMBER 7 - <br />2023 BRIDGE INSPECTIONS <br />WHEREAS: Public Works solicited for engineering support services in January 2020 pursuant <br />to County procurement policies consistent with State law; and <br />WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners approved KPFF for structural engineering <br />support services with Resolution2020-075 for a three-year period terminating on <br />April7th,2023; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works desires KPFF bridge inspection support services for a portion of <br />2023; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works is required to inspect the County's bridges pursuant to Federal and <br />State inspection requirements in a timely manner; and <br />WHEREAS: The County Engineer did sign KPFF Task Order Number I _ 2023 Bridge <br />Inspections on December 30, 2022, prior to contract expiration, in the amount of <br />$53,000; and <br />WHEREAS: KPFF Task Order Number 7 - 2023 Bridge Inspections amount is in excess of the <br />authorized expenditure amount afforded the Department Director. <br />NOW' THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, after due <br />consideration does hereby ratify the County Engineer's signature on KPFF Task Order Number 7 <br />-2023 Bridge Inspections for $53,000. <br />DATED this 18th day of April2023, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />GTON <br />right, <br />o f the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />n Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Vice-Chairman
