BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />zozz-J'TL <br />RESOLUTION RELIEVING THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT ADVISORY <br />COMMITTEE OF LOCALLY IMPOSED OPMA REQUIREMENTS <br />WHEREAS: Resolution .2\22-Wprovided for the formation of a committee to provide community <br />input regarding the adoption of a modified model of executive county government <br />leadership; and <br />WHEREAS: that committee is expected to meet only seven times; and <br />WHEREAS: the committee is not subject to the Open Public Meetings Act codified in Chapter 42.30 <br />RCW as the committee is purely advisory with no decision or policy making authority; <br />and <br />WHEREAS: Resolution 2017-053 imposed local OPMA requirements for Board-created committees to <br />avoid the analysis efforts required to determine when Chapter 42.30 RCW applies to <br />newly formed committees; and <br />WHEREAS: the Board recognizes the limited purpose and duration of this specific committee does not <br />warrant the time and effort called for in Resolution 2017-153 particularly when the <br />committee is already required to present its work to the Board at a properly noticed <br />OPMA-compliant meeting. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the County Executive Management Advisory Committee <br />is hereby relieved of the local OPMA requirements established by ResolutioiZOtl-tSS. <br />ADoPTED this lA th day of 2022. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />WASHINGTON <br />Cory Wright, Vice-Chairman <br />ABSENT <br />Brett Wachsmith, Commissioner <br />Kj Clerk of the Board
