KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />2022 AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: June 21, 2022 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing the use of <br />2022 Public Facility (PF) Award Funds to the City of <br />Roslyn for use with 2017 (PF) Funding Constructing <br />Stormwater Improvements <br />BACKGROUND: The Board of County Commissioners awarded the City of <br />Roslyn $798,220 in Distressed County Sales and Use Tax <br />(Public Facilities Fund 108) in 2017. An additional award <br />was made to the City with Resolution 2022-046 allocating <br />$262,500 towards Phase II stormwater improvements. The <br />city recently opened construction bids for the original <br />project and bid costs exceed the engineer's estimate by <br />approximately 40%. The City is requesting to combine the <br />2017 and 2022 funding allowing award of the Phase 1 <br />construction project. Combing funds allows the original <br />project to move to construction. Public Works supports the <br />request. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the City of Roslyn to combine 2017 and 2022 <br />Fund 108 funding and award the Phase 1 stormwater <br />improvement construction project. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
