KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />2022 AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: June 21, 2022 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Conduct a Public Hearing to consider the Vacation of <br />Holiday Avenue from the intersection with Boat Ramp <br />Road to the end (mile post 0.110) and provide an access <br />and utility easement to Water District No. 6 to District <br />facilities. <br />BACKGROUND: Grant PUD is planning a swim beach at the end of Holiday <br />Avenue. The land use action is proceeding through <br />Community Development Services (shoreline). The <br />proposal is expected to create an attractive nuisance for the <br />adjoining property owner. Issues concerning the bridge <br />crossing the flood control drainage have been resolved with <br />the adjoining property owner. An access and utility <br />easement has been created for Water District No. 6 <br />ensuring access to District facilities. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the vacation of Holiday Avenue from the <br />intersection of Boat Ramp Road to the end (Mile Post <br />0.110) and provide an access and utility easement to Water <br />District No. 6 to existing District facilities. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Director's Report; Resolution; Access and Utility Easement <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
