05/03/2022 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />AUDITORIUM/WEBEX <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />TUESDAY 2:00 P.M. MAY 3, 2022 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Cory <br />Wright and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mandy Buchholz, <br />Administrative Supervisor; Taylor Crouch, Administrative Assistant; <br />Dan Carlson, CDS Director; Ken Grannan, Airport Director; Josh <br />Frederickson, Engineer; Kady Porterfield, Event Center Director; <br />Clay Myers, Sheriff; Emily Smith, Administrative Assistant; and 6 <br />members of the public. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING OFFICIAL MEETING TIMES COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 2:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />amending Kittitas County Code Chapter 2.04.010, Establishing <br />Official Times and Time of Regular Study Sessions for the Kittitas <br />County Board of Commissioners. <br /> <br />MANDY BUCHHOLZ, ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISOR reviewed a Staff Report <br />and indicated a request had been received from the Event Center <br />Director and the CDS Director wanting to eliminate or move a Study <br />Session. KADY PORTERFIELD, EVENT CENTER DIRECTOR said she would like <br />more consistency and felt it would enable more attendance. DAN <br />CARLSON, CDS DIRECTOR said their department did not need as many <br />meetings during the month with the Board and that one Study Session <br />a month would suffice at this time. <br /> <br />THERE BEING NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE <br />HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 2022-003 OFFICIAL MEETING TIMES COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT moved to approve Ordinance No. 2022-003, <br />Amending Kittitas County Code Chapter 2.04 regarding the Kittitas <br />County Board of Commissioners Regularly Scheduled Study Sessions. <br />COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING COMMISSION RATES FOR VENDORS EVENT CENTER <br /> <br />At 2:04 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing to consider a <br />Resolution Adopting Amendments to Commission Rates for Vendors at <br />the Kittitas County Fair. <br />
