05/03/2022 MINUTES 2 <br />KADY PORTERFIELD, EVENT CENTER DIRECTOR said they would like to <br />impose a commission of 25% increase to those who only provide cash <br />payments. The vendors who accept cash and card (credit and/or debit) <br />payments will be charged the standing 20% commission rate. The new <br />rate will encourage vendors to offer more acceptable and preferred <br />forms of payments for a vast number of Fair attendees. <br /> <br />THERE BEING NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE <br />HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2022-101 COMMISSION RATES FOR VENDORS EVENT CENTER <br /> <br />VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT moved to approve Resolution No. 2022-101, <br />Adopting Amendment to Commission Rates for Vendors at the Kittitas <br />County Fair. COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING SHERIFF LEASE AT AIRPORT AIRPORT <br /> <br />At 2:06 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />approving the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office Lease of Airport Lots <br />C-5 and C-6. <br /> <br />KEN GRANNAN, AIRPORT DIRECTOR reviewed a Staff Report and said the <br />Airport has leased lots C-5 and C-6 to the Kittitas County Public <br />Works Department since 2017, who recently chose to terminate their <br />lease and transfer the fence asset to the Airport Department. The <br />Sheriff’s Office has been utilizing this area periodically and it <br />seemed to be a good time to transition into a new Lease with the <br />Sheriff’s Office to use as storage space as they begin transitioning <br />to Upper County for their Search & Rescue program. <br /> <br />THERE BEING NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE <br />HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2022-102 SHERIFF LEASE AT AIRPORT AIRPORT <br /> <br />VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT moved to approve Resolution No. 2022-102, <br />approving a Lease Agreement for property at Bowers Field Airport for <br />Lots C-5 & C-6. COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING RIGHT-OF-WAY STRANDE ROAD PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />At 2:08 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />the vacation of County Right-of-Way of a portion of Strande Road <br />from Mile Post 2.66 to the end of the County Road. <br /> <br />JOSH FREDRICKSON, ENGINEER reviewed a Staff Report and recommended <br />continuing the Public Hearing, stating there was some issues the <br />Department of Natural Resources would like to review and he hoped it <br />could get it taken care of within the next week or two.
