04/05/2022 MINUTES 1 COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON AUDITORIUM/WEBEX SPECIAL MEETING TUESDAY 2:00 P.M. APRIL 5, 2022 Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Cory Wright and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mandy Buchholz, Administrative Supervisor; Brian Carlson, Budget & Finance Director; Sue Higginbotham, Chief Administrator; Ken Grannan, Airport Director; Jerry Pettit, Auditor; Codi Fortier, Administrative Assistant; Mark Cook, Public Works Director; Taylor Crouch, Administrative Assistant; Neil Caulkins, Deputy Prosecutor; Chris Horner, Deputy Prosecutor; and 3 members of the public. PUBLIC HEARING BOWERS FIELD LEASE PROPERTY AIRPORT At 2:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing that was continued from February 1, 2022, to consider adopting the Bowers Field Lease Policy. The record was open. KEN GRANNAN, AIRPORT DIRECTOR said they were waiting to receive more information back and requested the Board close the Public Hearing and remand it back to Staff and to bring it again forward at a later date. VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT moved to close the Public Hearing to consider adopting the Bowers Field Lease Policy, and remand it back to Staff. COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH seconded. Motion carried 3-0. PUBLIC HEARING MIN. STANDARDS, RULES & REGS AIRPORT At 2:02 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing continued from February 1, 2022, to consider adopting the new Minimum Standards, Rules and Regulations for the Bowers Field Airport. The record was open. KEN GRANNAN, AIRPORT DIRECTOR requested the Board remand it back to Staff and they would republish a Public Hearing at a later date. VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT moved to close the Public Hearing and remand it back to Staff to be considered at a later date. COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
