KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />March 3, 2021 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Approve Resolution authorizing approval of contract number 20- <br />6221C-115 between the Washington State Department of Commerce, <br />Local Government Division – CDBG-Coronavirus (CDBG-CV-1) <br />period March 27, 2020 through January 31, 2023 in the amount of <br />$292,364 <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br /> On September 1, 2020 at 2:01 pm the Board of County <br />Commissioners conducted a public hearing reviewing the proposed <br />grant application. The minutes of the Public Hearing stated; <br />Chairman Wachsmith opened a public hearing to review community <br />development and housing needs, inform availability of funds and <br />eligible uses of the State Community Development Block Grant <br />(CDBG) and receive comments on proposed activities, particularly <br />from lower income person residing in the Kittitas County area. <br /> <br /> Cathy Bambrick, Infuse Strategy, LLC reviewed a proposed grant <br />application to obtain funds for the Community Development Block <br />Grant. She indicated there was up to $292,365.00 is available to <br />Kittitas County as a consortium with all cities applying to fund CDBG <br />public services and local microenterprise assistance programs; rental <br />and mortgage assistance and daycare expenses for people who have <br />lost income due to COVID-19 impacts. A11 CDBG funded activities <br />must benefit low-and moderate-income persons or meet the CDBG <br />urgent need national objective criteria. <br /> <br /> The application submitted was for $292,364 with the program <br />allocation as shown below: <br /> <br />
