<br /> Kittitas County has been awarded the Community Development <br />Block Grant Program – CDBG-Coronavirus (CDBG-CV1) in the <br />amount of $292,364. <br /> <br /> The Department of Commerce has provided Contract Number 20- <br />6221C-115 for the Board of County Commissioners consideration <br />with the start date of March 27, 2020 and an end date of January 31, <br />2023. There were not any funds allocated in the application for the <br />County for grant administration costs. County Staff will be recording <br />their time to this project but will be funded from the General Fund. <br /> <br /> As part of this grant a Determination of Exemption & Determination <br />of Categorical Exclusion for NEPA form, needs to be signed and sent <br />in with the contract. This form was prepared and signed by Judy <br />Pless, Budget & Finance Manager, but needs the Chairman’s <br />signature as well. <br /> <br /> As of this date, I have not received any confirmation of which agency <br />is supposed to be receiving these funds. Once that is determined the <br />sub-recipient contracts will be presented to the Board for approval. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve Resolution authorizing approval of contract number 20- <br />6221C-115 between the Washington State Department of Commerce, <br />Local Government Division – CDBG-Coronavirus (CDBG-CV-1) <br />period March 27, 2020 through January 31, 2023 in the amount of <br />$292,364. Authorize the Chairman to sign the Contract #20-6221C- <br />115 and sign the Determination of Categorical Exclusion for the <br />Environmental Review Requirements form <br /> <br /> <br />HANDLING: Judy Pless will submit 2 originals to Department of <br />Commerce for signature. <br />Department of Commerce to return 1 fully executed original. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: CDBG Contract Number 20-6221C-115. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager
