JUNE 1, 2020 <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; and Via Webex: <br />Vice-Chairman Laura Osiadacz & Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; and Via Webex: Taylor <br />Crouch, Deputy Clerk of the Board I; Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of <br />the Board II; Jim Goeben, IT Director; Judy Pless, Budget & Finance <br />Manager; Clay Myers, Sheriff; Mark Cook, Public Works <br />Director/Interim Engineer; Ben Kokjer, Chief Deputy; Chris Whitsett, <br />Inspector; Steve Panattoni, Jail Superintendent; and 3 members of <br />the public. <br /> REGULAR MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS <br />At 9:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened the Office Administration <br />meeting. <br /> CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS <br />The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendar. <br /> PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS <br />The Board of County Commissioners approved the County Vouchers and <br />PAF’s. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS <br />There was no Correspondence Log to review for the week ending May <br />29, 2020. <br /> DISCUSSION CARES ACT FUNDING COMMISSIONERS <br />Clay Myers, Sheriff, urged the Board of County Commissioners to not <br />look at this moments needs, but also for a possible long term event, <br />as the future relating to the COVID-19 pandemic is currently <br />unknown. Chris Whitsett, Inspector, provided information on some of <br />the funding requests from the Sheriff’s Office. Steve Panattoni, <br />Jail Superintendent, reviewed their requests relating to the Jail <br />and their needs. The Board determined they would not fund the last <br />three items from the Sheriff’s Office at this time, and would wait <br />for additional details on the additional jail cells. <br />
