11/06/2018 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONERS AUDITORIUM SPECIAL MEETING <br /> TUESDAY 2:00 P.M. NOVEMBER 6, 2018 <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Obie <br />O’Brien and Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Lisa Young, Human <br />Resource Director/Interim Event Center Director; Kay Kresge, Fiscal <br />Analyst; Mark Cook, Public Works Director and Patsy Teeney, Fair <br />Board member. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING PRE-SALE FAMILY FAIR PACKAGES EVENT CENTER <br /> <br />At 2:04 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing to consider a <br />Resolution to Authorize the Pre-Sale of Family Fair Packages for the <br />2019 Kittitas County Fair. <br /> LISA YOUNG, HUMAN RESOURCE DIRECTOR/INTERIM EVENT CENTER DIRECTOR <br />reviewed a proposed a Resolution which would authorize a Pre-Sale of <br />Family Fair Packages for the 2019 Kittitas County Fair. She <br />indicated the retail value of the packages is $120.00 and the pre- <br />sale package would be $90.00. The pre-sale packages would be limited <br />to 100 and include Four General Admission Passes, Two Pay One Price <br />Ride Vouchers, and One Daily Parking Pass. The Fair Board approved <br />the proposal and recommended approval. PATSY TEENEY, FAIR BOARD MEMBER said they hoped it would provide an opportunity for families <br />to pay for a package now and then have time to save more money to <br />spend during the Fair for other items. She said they are trying to <br />get more families to come back to the Fair. If approved, they plan <br />on selling the packages at Moments to Remember and allow people an <br />opportunity to give them as Christmas gifts. <br /> THERE BEING NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. RESOLUTION 2018-170 PRE-SALE FAMILY FAIR PACKAGES EVENT CENTER COMMISSIONER O’BRIEN moved to approve Resolution No. 2018-170, <br />Authorizing the Pre-Sale of Family Fair Packages for the 2019 <br />Kittitas County Fair, noting a limit of 100 package vouchers <br />available. COMMISSIONER WRIGHT seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
