DECEMBER 20, 2016 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Obie O’Brien; Vice-Chairman Paul <br />Jewell and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager; Jerry Pettit, Auditor; <br />Lucas Huck, Engineer; Mark Cook, Public Works Director; Mickey Webb, <br />Event Center Director; and 3 members of the public. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING AMEND COUNTY BUDGET AUDITOR <br /> <br />At 2:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN O’BRIEN opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />amending the 2016 County Budget. <br /> <br />JUDY PLESS, BUDGET & FINANCE MANAGER reviewed a request to amend the <br />2016 Budget in the total amount of $2,447,478.00 for the General <br />Fund, Community Services, and Public Health. She said the current <br />County Budget is $91,778,331.00 and with the amendments the total <br />amount would be $94,225.809.00. <br /> <br />THERE BEING NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE <br />HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2016-167 AMEND COUNTY BUDGET AUDITOR <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER JEWELL moved to approve Resolution No. 2016-167, <br />Amending the 2016 County Budget in the total amount of <br />$2,447,478.00. COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING EVENT CENTER RATES EVENT CENTER <br /> <br />At 2:07 p.m. CHAIRMAN O’BRIEN opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />Revised Rates for the Kittitas Valley Event Center. <br /> <br />MICKEY WEBB, EVENT CENTER DIRECTOR reviewed a Staff Report and <br />proposed rates for the Kittitas County Event Center including the <br />Rental and Use Rates, Packages and Discounts. He said the rates had <br />not been revised since 2013. <br /> <br />THERE BEING NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE <br />HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />JUDY PLESS, BUDGET & FINANCE MANAGER questioned if the Board had <br />considered placing a small amount of funds in reserve for building <br />and maintenance of the Event Center.
