Mark gave background on the <br />removal of the bridge and the damage that helped make that <br />decision. After the removal Kittitas Reclamation District, <br />Kittitas Valley Fire and Rescue and the Kittitas County PUD <br />No. 1 reported that the structure was used by them and <br />requested to replace the bridge. Staff did some research and <br />have found a solution to put in a 25' bridge. The pricing <br />should be under the $40,000.00. Anticipating a small number <br />of response and the Small Works Roster will be used to solicit <br />bids and also advertised in the newspaper of record. <br />Discussion was held. <br />Board Direction: Commissioner Osiadacz made a motion to approve <br />Resolution 2016-083 for the authorization for a Call for <br />Bids for the Silica Road Bridge Procurement. <br />Commissioner O'Brien seconded the motion. No <br />discussion. <br />OTHER BUSINESS: Mark stated he has six other items to add under other <br />business. <br />Luke Huck reported that the City of Ellensburg submitted a <br />request to put in a bike path through the John Wayne Trail at <br />Alder down 8th — they would like a guide sign and arrows <br />painted along the path. Luck stated that they went ahead and <br />approved the sign placement. The Board of County <br />Commissioners does not need to approve this sign only <br />regulatory signage. <br />411 N.
