KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: November 5, 2019 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve the Resolution Authorizing the. <br />hot mix asphalt overlay for Vantage Highway <br />between mile post 21.25 and 27.51. <br />BACKGROUND: Vantage Highway was damaged during wind farm <br />construction several years ago. Every year since, <br />Public Works has engaged in spot repairs of failed <br />roadbed. Funding has been awarded by the <br />County Road Administration Board for the asphalt <br />overlay. Additional funding has been requested <br />from the Highway Safety Improvement Program to <br />cover the cost of associated guardrail replacement. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution Authorizing the HMA <br />overlay of Vantage Highway from Mile post 21.25 <br />to mile post 27.51. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution; CRP No 298-19 <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark Cook, Director <br />
