KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: October 16, 2018 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Authorize the Chair's <br />Signature on Watershed Science and Engineering Task <br />Order No. 7; Reecer Creek FEMA Flood Hazard Analysis <br />and Mapping <br />BACKGROUND: <br />In mid-August 2018, Public Works received notification <br />from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) <br />of Cooperative Technical Partnership grant award of <br />$50,000 towards creating a two dimensional flow model for <br />approximately seven (7) miles of Reecer Creek. The Flood <br />Control Zone District is providing $50,000 in grant match. <br />Watershed Science and Engineering (WSE) is the District's <br />flow model developer and the attached Task Order exceeds <br />the Public Work's Director signatory authority. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Authorize the Chair's signature on WSE Task Order No. 7. <br />HANDLING: <br />Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Resolution; Task Order No. 7 <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Mark R.
