KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />March 20, 2018 <br />Ratify the Vice Chairman's Signature on two recent <br />Federal Highway Administration Grant Applications <br />BACKGROUND: Recently, Public Works (PW) submitted two Federal <br />Highway Administration (FHWA) Federal Lands Access <br />Program (FLAP) grants under the signature of the Public <br />Works Director. The United States Forest Service (USFS) <br />rejected the signature of the Public Works Director <br />insisting on Board of County Commission signature. The <br />Vice Chairman was able to quickly get the grants signed <br />and the USFS accepted our applications. PW is now <br />seeking Board action ratifying the Vice Chairman's <br />signature on the grant applications. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Ratify the Vice Chairman's signature on two recent FHWA <br />FLAP grant applications. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Exhibit 1: Resolution Authorizing the Vice Chairman's <br />signature on two recent FHWA FLAP grant applications. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
