BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018 - <br />TITLE: Ratify the Vice Chairman's Signature on Recent Federal Lands Access Program <br />Grant Applications <br />WHEREAS: The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) recently solicited communities for <br />potential Federal Lands Access Program (FLAP) projects for possible grant <br />award; and <br />WHEREAS: The Department of Public Works prepared two grant applications to the federal <br />grant program (Manastash Snow Park and Teanaway Dickey Creek Bridge <br />Replacement); and <br />WHEREAS: Grant deadlines did not allow for presentation to the full Board of County <br />Commissioners prior to grant submittal; and <br />WHEREAS: The United States Forest Service rejected the Department's Director's signature <br />on the grant applications; and <br />WHEREAS: The Vice Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners consented to affix his <br />signature on the grant applications satisfying grant submittal requirements; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby ratify the Vice Chairman's signature on two recent <br />FHWA FLAP grant applications. <br />DATED this 20th day of March, 2018, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br />Obie O'Brien, Vice -Chairman <br />Paul Jewell, Commissioner <br />
