A household <br />does not include friends or family that are providing temporary housing. Refer to Appendix E: <br />Household Eligibility Requirements. <br /> <br />A household’s primary nighttime residence, where they sleep the majority of the time, is used for <br />determining eligibility. <br /> <br />A household’s current nighttime residence, where they slept last night, is used for determining HMIS <br />project entry. <br /> <br />Eligible HEN households must meet both housing status and income requirements as detailed in the <br />following sections. <br /> <br />Housing Status Income <br />Homeless <br /> <br />OR <br /> <br />At Risk of Homelessness <br />AND <br /> <br />HEN Referral7 <br /> <br />OR <br /> <br />Lost HEN Referral due to receiving federal <br />supplemental security income, social security <br />disability income, or social security retirement <br />income and still has an *immediate housing need <br /> <br /> <br />*Immediate housing need is determined through housing stability planning and assessment (see <br />Sections 5.7 and 7.5). <br /> <br />7 HEN Referral includes households who have a HEN Referral and households enrolled in General Assistance (ABD recipient) and General Assistance <br />Pregnancy (Pregnant Women Assistance recipient) from the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) as documented in <br />the Benefits Verification System (BVS). <br />5 Housing and Essential Needs
