source and type of project which meets funding criteria. Only funding opportunities that
are utilized each cycle have been included.
Public comment received during the solicitation period included requests for
improvements at the intersection of Kittitas Highway and No. 6 Road; pavement
improvement on Passmore Road; and a request for no roundabouts on County Roads.
The County Road Safety Plan identifies improvements for Kittitas Highway and No. 6
Road as priority 1 in the plan. The Road Safety Plan is the basis for application to the
State for funding through the Highway Safety Improvement Plan (HSIP). Project funding
is based on State allocation to the HSIP. The six -year plan includes projects for funding
received through the HSIP. Passmore Road is currently identified as a Primitive
Roadway with a gravel surface. Primitive roads are not part of the County's primary road
system. Maintenance is performed including grading the roadway on an annual basis.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The 6-Year Transportation Plan will help set the Public Works budget for 2027.
ATTACHMENTS:
Exhibit l: Draft 6-Year Transportation Improvement Plan for 2027-2032
