<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Exhibit A <br />Scope of Work <br />Amendment 9 <br />Phase 9 Cle Elum Transfer Tank Replacement <br />Kittitas County, WA <br />Prepared For: Kittitas County <br />Prepared By: Dan Ireland, PE <br />Date Prepared: August 12, 2026 <br />Introduction: <br />SCJ has prepared this amendment to the 2022 On-Call contract for the existing work task: Phase 9 Cle Elum <br />Transfer Station Tank Replacement. <br />This amendment supplements the following tasks with additional services requested or have exceeded the <br />assumed or estimated durations beyond the existing scope of work and fee estimate. <br />We estimate the construction to be completed by end of August 2026 and project closeout process to be <br />completed by October 31, 2026. <br />Phase 9 Cle Elum Transfer Station Tank <br />♦ Task 1 – Preliminary Design <br />♦ Task 4 – Final Construction Package <br />Task 1 Preliminary Design <br />Description of Previous Work Completed and Compensated: The original scope of work assumed the project <br />would be out to bid by September 2025. During the preliminary design phase, the duration of tasks <br />exceeded the estimate based on tank vendors' response times to identify the correct type of tank for the <br />project. This resulted in project management and additional time being required, reaching out to multiple <br />vendors and requesting follow-ups that exceeded what was estimated. An additional 3 months of <br />coordination/managing the preliminary design phase of the project, and 8 hours of coordination were <br />required, compared to what was previously estimated. <br />Task 4 Final Construction Package <br />This amendment updates this task budget to incorporate the Cle Elum Transfer Station Driveway Project <br />that was added to this project near the end of the project. This budget description explains the <br />1) Final Plans: After the review meeting by the County, SCJ will update the construction plans for <br />finalization and bid advertisement.
