Restoration will promote complex and dynamic fluvial processes by <br />removing bank revetments, reconnecting and creating side-channel habitats, connecting floodplains, addressing gravel pit <br />degradation, and re-establishing a cottonwood gallery forest. Kittitas County will advance the Lower Kittitas Reach Floodplain <br />Reconnection Project Restoration preferred alternative to the draft/permit-ready (80%) design phase, to include design sheets, <br />a basis of design report, and design level cost estimates. These designs will meet the qualifications for construction permit <br />applications with local, state, and federal agencies.
