07/13/2026 MINUTES 3 <br /> <br />At 9:22 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2026-119 CLAIM FOR DAMAGES PROSECUTOR <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz moved to approve Resolution No. 2026-119, A <br />Resolution Authorizing Payment of the Claim for Damages Filed by <br />Donald Myers and Magen Spears and Authorizing Washington Counties <br />Risk Pool to Issue a Warrant for Said Claim. Vice-Chairman <br />Wachsmith seconded. Motion carried 2-0. <br /> <br />UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to <br />meet with on a weekly basis for the year. The assignments for 2026 <br />were determined during a Board of County Commissioners Office Admin <br />meeting and they will continue to provide updates at future <br />meetings. <br /> <br />Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective <br />departments and exchanged details of those meetings. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES – There were general updates on <br />meetings & conversations that the Board participated in, <br />individually, over the past week. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 9:33 a.m. Vice-Chairman Wachsmith announced the Board would <br />recess into an Executive Session for 5 minutes, with just the BoCC, <br />under RCW 42.30.110 (g), to evaluate the qualifications of an <br />applicant for public employment or to review the performance of a <br />public employee. However, subject to RCW 42.30.140(4), discussion by <br />a governing body of salaries, wages, and other conditions of <br />employment to be generally applied within the agency shall occur in <br />a meeting open to the public, and when a governing body elects to <br />take final action hiring, setting the salary of an individual <br />employee or class of employees, or discharging or disciplining an <br />employee, that action shall be taken in a meeting open to the <br />public. No action anticipated. <br /> <br />At 9:38 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session.
