Only those Incarcerated Individuals who have been convicted may be reguired to <br />work. <br />Section 5.08 Rules. <br />The Receiving Jurisdiction shall notify the Sending furisdiction Incarcerated <br />hdividuals upon arrival of the rules of the jurisdiction and the specific rules of the <br />Facility. lrcarcerated Individuals will be required to follow all rules of the Receiving <br />Jurisdiction. <br />Section S.fi)Discipline, <br />The Receiving ]urisdiction shall provide disciplinary detention to the Sending <br />Jurisdiction lncarcerated Individuals at the discretion of the Receiving ]urisdiction, <br />The Receiving furisdiction may require the Sending Jurisdiction to retake any <br />lncarcerated ]:rdividual found guilty of a seriousinfraction; similarly, the Reeeiving <br />Juriscliction may require the Sending Jurisdiction to retake any Incatcerated trdividual <br />whose behavior requires segregated or protective housing. <br />Section 5,10 MonthlyReports. <br />The Receiving |urisdiction institution housing the sending Jurisdiction <br />Incarcerated Individuals shall provide montlrly repolts to each Sending <br />|urisdiction on the number of Incarcerated hdivicluals housed for the Sending <br />Jurisdiction under the Cornpact. <br />Section 5.11 Notification of Coordinator. <br />The Receiving furisdiction shal1 notily the Sending Jurisdiction of identity of the <br />Receiving Jurisdiction coordinator responsible for administering the Compact. Should <br />the coordinator be absent for an extended period of time, the coordinator shall arrange <br />for, and notify the Sending |urisdiction in writing, of the alternate contact person during <br />the coordinator's absence. <br />Section 5.12 Legal Costs. <br />The Receiving ]urisdiction shall bear legal costs relating to the defense of actions arising <br />from events that occur at the Receiving ]urisdiction institution while the lrcatcerated <br />Individual is in the Receiving Jurisdiction's custody. <br />Section 5.13 Facility Operations. <br />The Receiving jurisdictionls management of Lrcatcerated Individuals in the Facility <br />shall be consistent with the management of other Incarcerated Individuals at the Facili$ <br />and in accord.ance with current legal requirements. The Receiving |urisdiction sha1l <br />maintain staffing levels at the Facility in sufficient numbers and rank to maintain the <br />safety of the public, staff, and Incarcerated Individuals and to adequately carry out the <br />provisions of this agreement. <br />Section5.14 ReliglousOpportunity. <br />The Receiving Jurisdiction shall provide adequate space and opportunity within the <br />Facility for religious setvices, <br />Section5,15 Telephone. <br />Washington State <br />Departmeni of Corrections <br />Page 7 of 11 <br />26RAD <br />Kl4078
