Section 5.02 Scrrening Criteria. <br />The Receiving |trrisdiction shall establish screening criteria for the Incarcerated <br />Ilrdividuals it will accept for transfer and will notify the Sending )urisdiction if the <br />Incarcerated krdividtral does not meet the soeening criteria. <br />Section 5.03 Orientation. <br />Upon an Incarcerated Individual's arrival at a Receiving ftuisdiction Facility, the <br />Receiving Iurisdiction shall provide an orientation fot the Incarcerated hdividual. <br />This orientation must address the following conditions at the Receiving Jurisdiction <br />Facility: 1) requirements to work; 2) Facility rules and disciplinary procedures; 3) <br />medical care availability; 4) visitation rules. <br />Section 5.04 Clothing. <br />6.L2.,1, The Receiving Jurisdiction will be responsible for laundering, repair, and replacement <br />of t:carcerated Inctividual clothing during the Sending furisdiction Incarcerated <br />Individual's incarceration at the Facility to enzure clean clothes and a minirnum of 1 set <br />of clothing upon admission and with clean clothing and bedding on a weekly basis <br />thereafter. <br />5.12.2 The Receiving Iurisdiction shall provide work clothing and equipment appropriate to the <br />Incarcerated hrdividual's assignment. <br />6.123 The Receiving Jurisdiction shall ftirnish Incarcetated Individuals with climate <br />appropriate outerwear. <br />6.L2,4 The Sending ]urisdiction Incarcerated hrdividuals retutned to the Sending <br />]urisdiction fiom the ReceivingJurisdictionlacility shall have the allotted amount <br />of lrcarcerated Lndividual clothing authorized by the Sending Jurisdiction. <br />Section 5.05 Transferable Items. <br />The Receiving Jurisdiction shall provide to the Sending |urisdiction a list of allowable <br />items that may be translerred with the Incarcerated Individual. <br />Section 5.06 Medical Care, <br />The Receiving Jruisdiction shall be responsible for providing tegular rnedical care, <br />incl.uding prescription medications, to the Sending ]urisdiction Lrcarcerated lndividual <br />at the Receiving furisdiction's expense, The Receiving ]urisdiction shall nofify the <br />Sending Jurisdiction as far in advance as practicable prior to incurring costs as a tesult <br />of extraordinary medical care. The Receiving furisdiction shall notify the Sending <br />Jurisdiction as soon as practicable afJer an Incarcerated Individual teceives emergercy <br />medical care. <br />Section 5,07 Compensation for Work. <br />Incarcerated Individuals transferred to a Receiving Jurisdiction Facility who <br />participate in programs of Lrcarcerated lrdividual employment shall receive the same <br />reimbursement, if any, as other Incarcerated trdividuals performing similat work. <br />Washington State <br />Department of Corrections <br />Page 6 of 11 <br />25RAD <br />K74078
