Through outreach, data collection, and collaboration, the project will prioritize environmental justice and create sustainable emission reduction plans. Project Lone Description; Community-Led Air Quality Improvement for Ellensburg Kittitas County Public Health Department (KCPHD) proposes a six month- two year project depending upon funding availability, starting in Jan2025,to reduce criteria air pollutants----carbon monoxide, lead, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, ozone, and particulate matter-in Ellensburg, an overburdened community' The project emphasizes community involvement to design emissions reduction strategies that reflect local priorities.
