1 <br /> <br /> <br />Appendix A <br /> <br />Vantage Boat Launch Management Plan <br /> <br />1.0 Location <br />The Vantage Boat Launch facility is located on the Columbia River at Vantage on Grant Public Utility <br />District No. 2 (Grant PUD) fee-owned land. <br />2.0 Operations <br />The Vantage Boat Launch is designed to provide water access for medium-sized watercraft and day use <br />facilities along the Wanapum Reservoir. Recreation amenities were renovated in 2015. For purposes of <br />this plan, the managed site includes the boat launch, parking areas, restroom, picnic areas, kiosks <br />signage, and associated grounds. The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Building is excluded from this plan and <br />remains wholly owned, operated, maintained, and managed by Kittitas County. See Figure 1, Site Map. <br />2.1 Amenities <br />Site amenities are listed below: <br />• Two-lane boat launch <br />• Two paved ADA parking spaces, including one trailer-accessible space <br />• 47 paved vehicle-and-trailer parking spaces <br />• One paved Sheriff’s vehicle-and-trailer parking space <br />• Nine paved single-vehicle parking spaces <br />• ADA-accessible restroom <br />• Nine picnic tables <br />• Kiosks and interpretive signage <br />2.2 Operating Season/Hours <br />Vantage Boat Launch is open year-round from dawn to dusk, defined as 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 <br />minutes after sunset. <br />Overnight camping is not permitted. <br />2.3 Facilities Use, Scheduling, and Use Permits <br />Vantage Boat Launch facilities are available to individual persons, families, and small groups for activities <br />consistent with the facility design, Grant PUD park rules and regulations. <br />Grant PUD is the primary contact for routine site operations, scheduling, and non-routine use requests. <br />Potential uses may include community activities and commercially sponsored events that are consistent <br />with facility design, park rules, and applicable law. For non-routine use, Grant PUD may require a written <br />agreement with the requesting party to document scheduling, reservation of areas, operational <br />requirements, and activity approval.
