Stay Informed: Receive regular updates and support from headquarters to help you <br /> coordinate your event. You will have a liaison team help you 1:1. <br /> Kittitas County Wreaths Across America Program <br /> Location Coordination: Leanord Muhr and Lisa Muhr <br /> Volunteers : American Legion Auxiliary, VFW, Veterans and family members <br /> Partnerships: Kittitas County Cemeteries, Kittitas County Veterans Services Program <br /> Anticipated Timeline <br /> Fall 2026 <br /> • Recruit volunteers for the 2027 WAA Committee <br /> • Work on sponsorship or becoming a Non-profit organization <br /> • Identify alternatives to WAA, possibly doing ribbons made locally to be placed <br /> • Request support from the City of Ellensburg and Cle Elum <br /> • Obtain sponsors for WAA 2027 Marketing <br /> • Outreach/Marketing for the ceremony across the county with communication at <br /> Resource Fairs, Farmers Market,Community and Veterans events <br /> Winter 2026/2027 <br /> • Begin planning for December 2027 Wreaths Across America or alternative activity <br /> • 1200 Veteran grave sites in lower County. $17.00 a wreath sponsorship <br /> o Obtain group and individual sponsors for 1200 wreaths <br /> • High Valley Cemetery <br /> • IOOF Cemetery <br /> • Number to be identified for Cle Elum and Roslyn Cemeteries <br /> o Cost for wreaths covered by the caretakers at those locations. <br />
