BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2026 -_____ <br /> <br />ADOPTING THE CWU TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER CENTER FEASIBILITY STUDY, <br />CAPITAL STACKING PLAN AND GRANT SUPPORT DOCUMENTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The Washington State Community Economic Revitalization Board (CERB) selected <br />Kittitas County to receive planning grant funding to aid in financing the cost of the <br />Kittitas County CWU Technology Transfer Center Feasibility Study; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The Feasibility Study focuses on the opportunities to transform the Old Heat building on <br />the Central Washington University (CWU) campus into a center for innovation, training <br />and economic growth; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: An adopted Feasibility Study is a requirement to finalize the grant received from CERB; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: In addition to the Feasibility Study, a Capital Stacking Plan and Grant Support documents <br />have been developed to support the development of the Technology Transfer Center. <br /> <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best interest <br />of the public, does hereby adopt the CWU Technology Transfer Center Feasibility Study, Capital <br />Stacking Plan and Grant Support Documents, hereto attached and approve the pursuit of additional <br />funding and support for the development of the building. <br /> <br />DATED this 19th day of May 2026, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br /> <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Cory Wright, Chairman <br />Attest: <br /> <br />☐ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik ________________________________ <br />Brett Wachsmith, Vice-Chairman <br />☐ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br /> _______________________________ ________________________________ <br /> Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br /> <br /> <br />
