County Handbook for Board, Committee and Commission. <br />3.3 A vacancy is deemed to have occurred upon the following: <br />3.3.1 Death of a member <br />3.3.2 Written notification has been provided to the County Commissioners <br />office <br />3.3.3 Three consecutive unexcused absences by a member <br />3.3.4 A member ceases to be a resident of Kittitas County and a waiver has not <br />been granted by the BOCC <br />3.3.5 Any member maybe removed upon a vote of not less than two members <br />of the BOCC for any reasonable cause as determined. <br />3.3.6 A member may resign from the committee by giving written notice to the <br />Chair. <br />3.4 The BOCC shall make appointments to fill out the term of any vacated position <br />according to established County process and mindful of maintaining a mix of <br />representation, experience and skills outlined in 2.1 <br />3.5 A member may request a leave of absence for up to 90 days in writing and will <br />be considered by the BOCC, preferably prior to the absence. <br />3.6 If a member fails to meet the expectations in Kittitas County Board, Committee <br />and Commission Member Handbook they may be removed from the Committee by the <br />BOCC. <br />3.7 Each member shall participate in required County training. <br />3.8 Kittitas County will defend and indemnify Committee members as provided for in Formatted: indent: Len: 0.5First line: 0" <br />Kittitas County Code Chapter 2.73. <br />ARTICLE 4 — Meetings <br />4.1 The Committee will meet once a month on the second Wednesday of the month <br />unless the Chair and Airport agree that there is no need.
