DHS-FEMA-EMPG-FY25 Page 47 of 50 Kittitas County, E26-241
WORK PLANNED IDENTIFIED GAP/NEED ANTICIPATED PROJECT IMPACT
Purchase a trailer and shelving to
house materials to include
miscellaneous items to properly
equip the trailer to house response
materials for an EOC/IMT response.
2024 Washington SPR p. 21 “Equipment
gaps exist across all functional areas
within this core capability. 51 percent of
the necessary equipment for this
capability does not exist or is not in
place across the state. Gaps include the
lack of or inadequate Emergency
Operations Center (EOC) facilities, lack
of updated and functional EOC
equipment/technologies, and other
equipment relating to the functional
areas within this core capability.”
Kittitas County does not currently have a
dedicated mobile unit for Emergency
Management equipment for EOC/IMT
response.
Our regional MOU states counties
should bring equipment and resources
to assist the affected jurisdiction. This
requires Kittitas County to purchase a
means of transporting all our EOC/IMT
supplies.
This project will accomplish
assisting closing gap of the lack of
or inadequate Emergency
Operations Center (EOC) facilities.
The intended outcome is to
establish a dedicated mobile
EOC/IMT trailer that will house all
supplies and materials needed for
response. The impact of the
funding of this project would be
establishing a regional EOC/IMT
response trailer, available to our
regional partners as well, to assist
in the response during a disaster.
