By defining the entrances and <br />exits, roadway users can know where to <br />expect cars. <br />Add walkways to provide dedicated <br />pedestrian routes to key destinations. <br />Corridor lmprovement <br />Mid-block Crossing <br />Between Snoqualmie Drive <br />€d Keechelus Drive <br />Add a designated pedestrian crossing <br />between private parking lots to serve <br />Summit East ski area- <br />Add crosswalk visibility enhancements <br />to provide a safe crossing for pedestrians <br />between private parking lots and <br />pedestrian destinations. Use highly <br />refl ective crosswalk markings using <br />patterns (bar pairs, continental, or ladder). <br />lnstall a Rectangular Rapid Flashing <br />Beacon (RRFB) in combination with the <br />new crosswalk to provide advanced <br />warning of the crossing location and make <br />drivers aware of pedestrians within the <br />crossing. <br />Crossing Treatment <br />lntersection of Hyak Drive <br />East I Snoqualmie Drive <br />Systematically apply multiple low-cost <br />countermeasures at stop-controlled <br />intersections. Treatments include: <br />. Stop bars at existing stop sign locations <br />' Advanced warning signs, including <br />"Stop Ahead" (W3-1) <br />. lmprove corner radii in accordance with <br />Kittitas County Code I2.O4.O4.O7O <br />lnstall a mini-roundabout or traffic circle <br />to provide traffic calming and a continuous <br />flow of traffic, parlicularly during peak <br />periods. <br />Snoqualmie Drive is classified as a Rural <br />Local Access road per the Kittitas County <br />Code and should consist of 12-foot <br />minimum lanes and 2-foot minimum <br />shoulders per the Kittitas County Standard <br />Plans. This roadway section can be <br />reduced to minimum widths per Kittitas <br />County Code (see Appendix L). <br />lntersection lmprovement
