[7.4 Summary of Community Input.
...Local meetings have created strong community ownership in the planning proces]
• Some "Local meetings" have only served to alienate many residents.
[Insights
1. Infrastructure Needs
Strong desire for wastewater solutions (large-scale septic)...Need for better road connectivity
across I-90,plus safer pedestrian/bike infrastructure
and a public restroom downtown.
Requests for sound buffering from I-90 and more]
. A lid on 190 would achieve quite a number of these tasks.
Easton is a community that likes to help, and usually is not asking for what it can recieve, but
what it can give (Residents, the church, and businesses come together especially in crisis and
need, to provide accommodations, showers, food, financial assistance...). Please continue to
support us living here,by just hearing our individual ideas in preventing urban crawl and
traumatic over-development.
Keeping water drinkable for our downstream neighbors is very important as is living within a
sustainable fashion.
Thank you for your continued exemplary service.
Shawn T.
