Do not click <br /> links, open attachments, fulfill requests, or follow guidance unless you recognize the sender <br /> and have verified the content is safe. <br /> April 27, 2026 <br /> Revision Comments - Easton Subarea Plan <br /> Chad Bala and Jeremy Johnstone, <br /> Thank you for your handout that provided a very informative overview of the <br /> subarea plan and recommendations for revisions. <br /> From the onset of the subarea plan process, it has been stated that this is a 20-year <br /> plan with the ability to be reviewed and updated annually, should there be <br /> revisions or recommendations needed. In our county and the community of <br /> Easton, it's vitally important that there is flexibility to meet those changes and that <br /> they are understood. <br /> For instance, as our community experiences increasing interest from visitors in year- <br /> round recreation and tourism, along with expanding residential development, we <br /> lack a comprehensive understanding of the impact and significance of services <br /> required to support these areas of growth. <br /> In looking at the proposed revisions, my responses are: <br /> 1. A desire to not be represented by one Community Group serving as <br /> "one voice" for Easton. <br /> Yes, removal of the "one voice" reference is important. The goal was not to <br /> have "one voice" but to build consensus and encourage collaboration <br /> within our community. We are fortunate to have many expert and active <br /> community members who are interested in offering their time, expertise and <br /> assistance in the development of the subarea plan. This will be vitally <br /> important in both achieving objectives in the subarea plan and in offering <br /> revisions and updates over the next twenty years. <br /> 2. Concerns regarding potential infrastructure upgrades including, but not <br /> limited to, items such as sidewalks, day use areas, and public <br /> restrooms. <br /> Please revise the wording to reflect the ability to identify and address any <br />
