It is important to note that due to snow-plow activity within the Snoqualmie Pass area, recessed plastic pavement markings are recommended for channelization. Collision History Between 2014 and 2023, there were eight reported collisions in this priority area. Of these eight collisions, four collisions were intersection-related. Three collisions resulted in a possible or minor injury, and all were vehicle-only collisions. Non-Collision Concerns Additional concerns were identified in this area through public comments, stakeholder feedback, and observation by the County and consultants. Concerns include: School bus stop at the intersection of Hyak Drive E & Snoqualmie Drive. Intersection confusion due to signs that are out of sight, unclear pavement markings, and size of intersection. Overflow from private parking lots onto Hyak Drive E. Vehicle and pedestrian conflicts for access to Summit East. For example, private parking lots are divided by Hyak Drive E, resulting in pedestrians walking down the roadway to access the ski area.
