A <br />B <br />C <br />D <br />E <br />F <br />G <br />90 <br />90 <br />906 <br />Chapter 4: Identifying <br />Countermeasures <br />This chapter identifies priority locations in <br />Snoqualmie Pass where targeted improvements <br />are recommended based on collision patterns, <br />traffic volumes and speeds, community <br />feedback, stakeholder input, and field <br />observations. <br />Each location includes a description of the context, <br />contributing safety concerns, and a tailored set of <br />engineering countermeasures designed to address site- <br />specific issues. <br />Recommended countermeasures may include physical <br />roadway changes, such as enhanced crosswalks, signage <br />upgrades, speed management treatments, or pedestrian <br />infrastructure, as well as programmatic strategies like <br />enforcement support, public education, or improved <br />maintenance practices. <br />The following locations were identified as priorities <br />for safety and mobility improvements: <br /> ƒLocation A: Exit 52 Area – includes SR <br />906 from NF-9041 to Summit West. <br /> ƒLocation B: Summit West Area – includes SR <br />906 from Summit West to Yellowstone Road. <br /> ƒLocation C: Exit 53 Area – includes the <br />intersection of SR 906 & Yellowstone Road. <br /> ƒLocation D: Summit Central Area – includes SR <br />906 from Yellowstone Road to Summit Central. <br /> ƒLocation E: Silver Fir Area – includes SR <br />906 from Summit Central to Tanner Way. <br /> ƒLocation F: Exit 54 Area – includes <br />SR 906 from Hyak Drive E to Lake <br />Mardee Road; SR 906 Spur. <br /> ƒLocation G: Summit East Area – includes Hyak <br />Drive E from SR 906 to Keechelus Drive. <br />In addition, the stakeholder team identified longer-term, transformative solutions to improve <br />community mobility and access. Solutions recommended in this plan are intended to be context- <br />sensitive, feasible, and aligned with the Safe System Approach.
