Page 1 of 2 <br />Public Works “Work Session Staff Report” 2026 <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />PUBLIC WORKS – BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: March 30, 2025 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Digital Submittal Certification to County Road <br />Administration Board <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to approve a Resolution authorizing the <br />Chair’s signature on the Digital Submittal <br />Certification to the County Road Administration <br />Board <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Josh Fredrickson <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve a resolution authorizing Chair signature on the Digital Submittal Certification to <br />the County Road Administration Board. <br /> <br />BRIEFING SUMMARY: <br />x Kittitas County Public Works Department is required (WAC 136-04) on an <br />annual basis to send an Annual Certification to the County Road Administration <br />Board (CRAB) <br />x Kittitas County Public Works Department is required (WAC 136-150-025) on an <br />annual basis to send a Fish Passage Certification to the CRAB <br />x Kittitas County Public Works Department is required (WAC 136-150-022) on an <br />annual basis to send a Certification of Diversion and Road Fund Expenditures of <br />Traffic Law Enforcement to the CRAB <br />x Reporting is related to departmental information on management and <br />administration, policies and operations <br />x Signatures from the Board of County Commissioners Chair, Sheriff, Auditor and <br />Engineer are required for submittal <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Public Works is required to provide the County Road Administration Board (CRAB) with <br />an annual certification covering administration, policies and operations related to County <br />Roads. Public Works is also required to provide the CRAB with an annual certification <br />certifying Road Fund Expenditures for Fish Passage Barrier Removal. Certifications <br />submitted to CRAB require the Board of County Commissioners Chair signature. In <br />addition, annually the County Sheriff, County Auditor and the Board Chair are required <br />to certify traffic law enforcement diversions from the Road Fund. The County Engineer is <br />also required to sign certification documents. <br /> <br />
