Response 4.1: If your organization collaborates or has created partnerships with other organizations, groups, or other events,
how is this accomplished?*
Response 4.2: Describe how you will promote lodging establishments, restaurants, and business located in Kittitas County *
Response 4.3: Is there a host hotel for your event or grant project? If yes, list the hotel.*
5| Future Plans
Response 5: Please explain what plans exist to allow this project to become self-sustaining. Include any plans for ticket sales,
event sponsors, and other cost-recovery models.*
On June 14th ERHOF hosted an event at the Kittitas County Event Center and invited other organizations to join and the public
to attend. This was the original date June 14th that the original committee broke ground at the Fair and Rodeo site with 100’s of
volunteers to create the facility that we enjoy today. There were several organizations in attendance from other museums, rodeo
organizations, 4H, and FFA. Each set up a booth and then gave a short presentation of their activities. Events like this will help
to create paths for future partnerships.
The Clymer and ERHOF have partnered on membership drives, First Friday activities, adding ERHOF merchandise to the
Clymer gift shop and support for each other ’s individual events. The EDA has been instrumental in putting information regarding
our events on their social media as has the Arts Commission regarding our First Friday endeavors. 1883 Magazine has featured
our events and the Rodeo as a whole using much of the history that ERHOF has, for features in their 2025 August edition. We
look forward to continuing to grow that relationship. We continue to participate in the First Friday Art Walks and host pop vendors
that have no store front presence in Ellensburg that they may become better known.
The Ellensburg Rodeo has been a key sponsor for our Induction and provided the books from the 100th anniversary at cost that
we might make a profit from selling them. In return we have supported the arena records sign at the rodeo grounds and
maintained the records as they change and have a new role for 2026 to support the Rodeo Queen. We have partnered with
Spirit Therapeutic Riding Center on fundraising events and have held our Induction there. The Kittitas County Cattlewomen have
been a huge part of our event providing dinner and desserts. Lastly, we have been the ticket site for Music in the Valley the past
2 years, bringing people into the museum.
In the past we have partnered with Heritage Distillery on a Whisky Tasting event. While that did not happen this year we look
forward to working with Elk Heights Distillery in 2026. Our board is always looking for partners both within the community and in
the region.
2500 character limit
In print ads and social media we will include links that will drive folks to local establishments. The past two years we have
partnered with The Windrow Hotel to secure accommodations for our Inductees who attend from out of town and will continue to
develop that relationship. In 2025 we had 10 Local sponsors that depending on level of sponsorship were given tickets to the
event, recognized during the event, name and logo in program, recognized on social media and listed with logo on posters, as
well as being listed in our newsletter and posted in the museum. The sponsor page of our program is included with this
application.
2500 character limit
No
Yes Windrow
A targeted ad campaign developed to drive tourism, museum attendance, and membership. Making people aware of the
museum and the activities we offer during Rodeo season and the year round. While adding the advertising and building on past
successes like the sponsorships, Meet and Greet event open to the public to meet the inductees and local partnerships. Our
Banquet Sponsorship will continue be a focus moving forward. In 2024 we started with 7 sponsors and in 2025 we had 10
sponsors. We currently have 7 museum sponsors, primarily individuals who support the museum and its activities, another
avenue we will continue to pursue.
ERHOF Board of Directors continue to have smaller fundraising projects including an Annual Quilt Raffle. This year two board
members donated time and materials to create an historic black and white photo quilt that was raffled off, selling 200+ tickets
and raising over $2,000 to help with operational costs. The Board sets up a non-host bar at events held in the museum and this
has been a good fundraiser. In 2026 we are working to hold the Whisky Tasting in conjunction with Elk Heights Distillery. When
successful this ad campaign will all help the museum to be self-sustaining by attracting more sponsors and donor support.
2500 character limit
Application Questions: Part 4
