Response 1.1: Please provide a description of your project/event.*
Response 1.2: Please provide us link to a brief video summary of you organization's event/project.*
We have seen a great deal of excitement over the Cowboy Channel series on social media and we are looking to develop a
targeted ad campaign around the rodeo audience and those in particular who attend Northwest Rodeos. Hall of Fame has never
done a targeted campaign. The goal is to drive visitors to Ellensburg as the contestants, families and fans travel to the numerous
northwest rodeos. These funds would be used to hire a local marketing firm to develop the print ads and social media as well as
other outreach the marketing firm would suggest. ERHOF is proposing to ad signage at the west and/or south interchanges
along with Rodeo signage or standalone on a bill board possibly. This would be targeted ad to bring people downtown to visit our
museum.
This ad campaign in addition to the monthly participation in First Friday and other community events around the county to
broaden the awareness of the Hall of Fame Museum throughout the rodeo community and its fans. The Ellensburg Rodeo Hall
of Fame is a cowboy hall of fame. The hall of fame for the Ellensburg Rodeo was established in 1997. The hall of fame writes a
biography for each inductee in a permanent file and the interviews with them are uploaded to the ERHOF YouTube Channel
each year since 2020. There are 279 subscribers, 118 videos and 76,077 views since inception. In August 2025 alone there
were 6 new subscribers and 903 views.
We also collect and store inductee rodeo mementos and artifacts, among many other important functions. Inductees are
categorized as follows: National Contestant; Local Contestant; Participant; Volunteer Organizer; Livestock; and Pioneer Rodeo
Family. An annual induction is held in August each year and draws friends and families of the inductees from around the country.
The Ellensburg Rodeo is steeped in traditions. The men and women who founded the Ellensburg Rodeo in 1923 were ranchers,
farmers, Indians, and community-minded citizens working in a group effort of huge proportions. They were motivated not only by
a desire to celebrate a vanishing frontier way of life, but also by a desire to promote their community and generate commerce.
From their efforts, Washington State’s world famous Ellensburg Rodeo was born. The Hall of Fame seeks to share this history
and culture throughout the Northwest and beyond.
2500 character limit
Note: You MUST be present at the Q&A meeting to qualify for funding.
https://youtu.be/Avk14R1FfxM?si=iM2KeJ7Q6xs_j67o
Response 1.3: List of Intended Use of Funds *
Note: This language will be related in the contract if awarded.
The CLTAC cannot approve funds not listed under RCW 67.28.1816.
