Response 1.1: Please provide a description of your project/event.*
Response 1.2: Please provide us link to a brief video summary of you organization's event/project.*
3| Impact
Suncadia's Holiday Drone Show is a new seasonal event proposed for Saturday, December 12th, 2026, at Suncadia Resort in
Cle Elum, WA. This immersive experience will feature a professionally produced drone light show designed to captivate
audiences of all ages and attract winter tourism to Kittitas County during the off-season.
The show will be produced in partnership with a drone show production company. Customizable shows typically feature 100–
200 drones, choreographed to music and animated storytelling, offering a safe, eco-friendly alternative to traditional fireworks.
The production includes full setup, launch coordination, and takedown, with FAA-compliant flight operations and visual
observers ensuring safety and visibility. This event is part of Suncadia’s broader initiative to expand winter programming and
drive off-season visitation.
The requested $40,000 in LTAC funding will support production costs, marketing efforts, and operational logistics. The show is
expected to generate significant overnight stays and regional interest, contributing to the local economy and reinforcing Kittitas
County's reputation as a year-round destination.
2500 character limit
Note: You MUST be present at the Q&A meeting to qualify for funding.
https://app.air.inc/a/b0dzEiw5H
Response 1.3: List of Intended Use of Funds *
Note: This language will be related in the contract if awarded.
The CLTAC cannot approve funds not listed under RCW 67.28.1816. Or from another country or state outside of their place of residence or business.
You must provide the evidence utilized in determining your projections.
Response 2.1: Why would tourists travel to Kittitas County to attend your event/activity/facility?*
Tourists are drawn to Kittitas County for Suncadia's Holiday Drone Show because it offers a unique, visually stunning experience
not commonly available in the region. The professionally produced drone light show provides a safe, environmentally friendly
alternative to fireworks, appealing to families, tech enthusiasts, and visitors seeking winter attractions. The event is scheduled
during the off-season, specifically Mid-December to encouraging overnight stays and extended visitation within the month of
December. Suncadia Resort’s reputation for high-quality programming and hospitality further enhances the appeal, with lodging
packages and curated local experiences.
2500 character limit
Response 2.2: Describe the prior success of your event/activity/facility to attract tourists.*
As this is a new event, there is no direct historical attendance data for Suncadia's Holiday Drone Show. However, Suncadia
Resort has a proven track record of hosting successful seasonal events that attract tourists from across Washington and
neighboring states. Suncadia’s activations during the winter include Santa photos, story time, a holiday bazaar, tree lighting
ceremony and more. These series have consistently generated significant overnight stays and local economic impact. The
resort’s established marketing channels and partnerships ensure strong regional interest and participation.
2500 character limit
Application Questions: Part 2
