Response 8.3: What changes will be made if funding for your request is not available or recommended?*
Matching Funds Percentage
9| Project Budget Overview
Please complete budget for this project/proposal. If your agency operates independently of this project application it may not be necessary
to submit the entire agency budget. You must submit a budget which specifically pertains to the project/event for which you are
requesting funding and adheres to the basic budget format shown below.
The budget must include anticipated revenues, expenditures, and any potential profit or loss. For projects/events which are ongoing for
more than one (1) year, please also submit actuals from the previous three (3) years of operations (need not be consecutive) for the
project/proposal if applicable.
For any claimed in-kind contributions valued at $500 or more and related to marketing/advertising, you must submit verifying
documentation which assures the contribution will be provided. For instance, if you are claiming in-kind contributions in the form of
advertising match, a binding contract itemizing the matching value and obligating each party must be provided.
ATTENTION: In an effort to allow an adequate level of flexibility for all applicants, not all fields in the budget portion are required to be filled
before this form is submitted. Providing all applicable data is your responsibility, failure to do so will potentially jeopardize your
application's chance for review.
Budget Year
Edit if necessary
The grant plays a critical role in sustaining the success of Junk-tiquen in the Burg. Strategic and consistent marketing is
essential to attract attendees from beyond our local area, and this funding directly supports those efforts. With continued grant
support, we can focus on revitalizing the event to pre-COVID levels and ensure it remains a vibrant, highly anticipated
experience for both residents and tourists. Your support helps us bring increased visibility, tourism, and economic benefit to
Kittitas County.
If funding is reduced or unavailable, we would be required to make thoughtful adjustments across several key areas to maintain
the viability of the event:
1. Location Evaluation:
We would reassess the affordability of our current venue. If rental costs become unsustainable without grant support, we may
need to consider alternative locations that are more cost-effective while still meeting the event’s logistical needs.
2. Event Size and Scope:
We may need to scale back the size of the event—potentially reducing the number of vendors, available booth space, or
programming features. A smaller footprint would allow us to maintain quality while operating within a leaner budget.
3. Marketing Strategy:
Marketing is one of our largest and most impactful expenses. Without grant funding, we would need to reduce or eliminate
targeted advertising in key tourism markets outside of Kittitas County. We would focus instead on low-cost or organic channels,
though this would limit our reach and growth potential.
4. Budget Reassessment and Community Support:
We would conduct a full budget review to prioritize critical needs. To offset cuts, we would increase efforts to secure in-kind
contributions, local sponsorships, and volunteer support to fill operational gaps where possible.
While reduced funding would present challenges, we are committed to continuing Junk-tiquen in some form. By focusing on our
core strengths—strong vendor relationships, dedicated volunteers, and community spirit—we would adapt as needed to keep
the event alive, even if on a smaller scale.
Thank you for your consideration.
2500 character limit.
564.07
This field will auto fill with the correct percentage based on your input to budget section below.
2023 2024 2025 2026
